Lexus Earns Top Reputation Ranking on Widewail Brand Scorecard

Widewail recently released the 2024 Widewail Brand Scorecard , a study of the reputations and sentiments of 32 automotive manufacturers across the United States. Lexus earned the highest reputation ranking among all automotive brands. Toyota and BMW ranked second and third, respectively. The study analyzed 4 million Google customer reviews across 14 luxury and 18 non-luxury automotive brands. 1.1 million reviews were used for topic analysis.

JD Power study shows decline in vehicle dependability

Vehicle dependability is slipping, according to the latest research from J.D. Power. The J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study found vehicle owners are experiencing more problems after three years of ownership, which the research firm said indicates a decline in long-term vehicle dependability. The industry average increased by 4 problems per 100 vehicles year-over-year to 190 PP100, with nearly two-thirds of brands studied showing an increase.
