Daniel Hemric advanced to second in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series point standings after a fourth-place finish on Friday night at Nashville Superspeedway. 19 Gates Hydraulics Chevrolet Silverado RST delivered his sixth top-five finish in 12 races and notched his sixth straight top-10 result, setting a new career high.
At nights end, Hemric sits seventh in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series standings with four races in the books. On lap one, Hemric narrowly avoided a multi-truck incident in Turn 1. 19 team ripped off their best four-tire pit stop of the night under the stage caution and gained four positions with a blistering four-tire effort.
Despite a rash of three cautions, crew chief Josh Graham kept Hemric on track as the No. A pit stop under the second stage caution proved costly for Hemric, as a malfunctioning air gun thwarted the always-reliable No. 19 pitcrew. He stayed on track until pitting under green on lap 128. Pitcrew did well.
