Profit is the thunder … Value is the lightning

Fulllogo TransparentThe Automotive Management Institute (AMi), the industry’s leading provider and collaborator of management education for automotive collision and mechanical service repair professionals, is proud to announce that our 2023 Graduation was held live at Foundations Training Expo at Daytona Speedway on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023.

Africa GraduateAMi graduated over 80 leaders in 2023, including Taurayi Sewera, from Zimbabwe, Africa, who was in attendance and received two designations this year!

More than 12 National Legendary trainers were present to train shop owners, technicians and service writers, and managers. Over a dozen vendors were there to bring shop value, discounts and prizes.

The weekend ended with a tour of Daytona Speedway in all its glorious racing history.

Do not miss next year, as we will be a hosted ASE proctored testing site and training will be on Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9, with testing available on site.

The focus was the Return on your investment in training. Do you know? Well, one shop owner from Arizona stated the ROI on one service writer achieving the AMAM designation netted their shop a whopping 256% ROI. (that’s 1500 annual investment, with SW selling an extra $100 a week.)

Trainer BannerOur AMAM and our newest designation AMEV. Our world-class Learning Management System (LMS) is now home to over 500 Online Course Offerings for AMi Accreditation, which you can sign up for and access at https://www.amisignup.org. In addition to our LMS, we still accredit hundreds of courses at Live Instructor-Led training events and expos all over North America, that takes place year-round! The new Online Course offerings include content from highly respected industry professionals, such as Mike Anderson, Mark Claypool, Michael Graham, Frank LaViola, Jeremy O’Neal, Frank Terlep, and other well-respected industry instructors.

“The New Era of AMi represents over a year of soliciting, organizing, and prioritizing industry feedback to ensure we offer the most relevant professional designations, career paths and overall management educational support possible,” stated Mary Steele, AMi Executive Director. “For example, we heard clearly from business owners and managers the need to offer career paths for their front office staff from the Customer Service Representative on up to the actual Owners, as well as all others in between.”

The industry-serving nonprofit now offers Customer Service Certificates as well as Professional Designations such as the Accredited Automotive Office Manager (AAOM), Accredited Automotive General Manager (AAM/Gold Level) and the new favorite amongst trainees, the Automotive Master Automotive Manager (AMAM/Platinum Level). These are specifically tailored designations for both the Collision Repair and Mechanical Service Repair segments of the automotive industry.  Each level of recognition is a step toward the next level, building a clear professional development pathway and will provide the necessary training to improve operational performance.

Daytona SpeedwayTo help provide for this learning support, AMi has developed the AMi Learning Foundation Program to encourage tax-deductible donations from industry businesses and individuals throughout the industry.  Through these contributions, AMi will continue to provide educational support and create new learning modules at a minimal cost to repair professionals. In addition to these contributions, organizations and individuals will be profiled and featured on our Social Media platforms, weekly Constant Contact emails that reach nearly 40,000 people, and on our personal website where you and your organization can be highlighted and linked using URL-friendly images across our Learning Leaders carousel.

We have developed some new methods to keep trainees on track, and we do it through certain payment programs that we have developed in recent times. We also offer our year-long Membership subscriptions that are priced anywhere between 65%-95% off the 1-credit course price of $47.50. During these 365 days, you will be able to train to whichever designation you would like to achieve (the AMAM/Master’s is a favorite, and most certainly achievable within that timeframe). The cost of the AMAM for both Collision and Mechanical Repair Masters is $8,550, but with the Subscription it is discounted down to just $1500! The AAM (Gold Level) is $5,700 typically, but when using the Subscription, it is discounted down to just $1,250!!!

With these types of incentives, as well as the extremely large collection of accredited offerings, AMi has created itself a “New Era” that is just too good to pass on. Once people realize that “Training Doesn’t Cost, it Pays”, organizations will realize that the investment into learning is something that can help every individual for the rest of their lives and increase your organizations R.O.I. all in one go! That’s one of the best things about AMi … once you are an AMi Trainee, you are part of our AMi Family for the rest of your life, and your credits will never expire. Additionally, once you have purchased, or taken a course through one of our programs, you will have unlimited access to that course for the rest of your days.

Our annual cap & gown Graduation, which is just around the corner already (11/08/24), takes place at the Daytona Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is here where you can complete your secondary education, receive a leather-bound diploma, and help further the AMi history that began all the way back in 1989. We look forward to seeing you walk across that stage one day soon, and all it takes is a simple email or call. You can reach us any time at SupportingSuccess@amionline.org or you can call us 7 days a week at 817-514-2900 where you will meet our LMS Director Brett, who will always be there to help ensure you stay on track and achieve the goal that you started out with from the beginning, as you make your journey towards learning about what it takes to successfully run the front office of your automotive collision or mechanical repair shop!
