Having given the automotive world some of the most exciting muscle cars ever made, like the Hellcat versions of the previous-gen Challenger, topped by the Demon and Demon 170, Dodge has taken a bold approach to this class by coming up with the first-ever battery-electric muscle car.
For now, it is also the only one, and we suspect Ford is already considering a similar approach for the next-gen Mustang. General Motors is likely doing the same for the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro, which no one knows about—save for the people involved in its development, assuming that it is indeed in the making.

When the order books open, customers must choose between the 496 hp (503 ps/370 kW) R/T and the 670 hp (680 ps/500 kW) Scat Pack. Both feature battery-electric power, and the more agile variant can deal with the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds and takes 3.3 seconds to reach 60 mph (97 kph), according to the Stellantis-owned brand.

Is the EV power not your thing? Well, Dodge is also prepping the Hurricane variants, which are due next year. The 3.0L twin-turbo engine develops 420 hp (426 ps/313 kW) in the Sixpack S.O. model, and the Sixpack H.O. enjoys 550 hp (558 ps/410 kW). The four-door sedan will also join the two-door coupe next year, and the automaker is preparing 800-volt versions, too.

The new Dodge Charger is a heavyweight contender. It weighs over 5,800 lbs (2,630+ kg), depending on the configuration, which is some 1,800 pounds (816 kg) more than the old Challenger. From bumper to bumper, it is as long as a Mercedes S-Class, as its overall length is 206.6 inches (5,248 mm), so you need a large garage should you plan on spending your money on it.

Some tuning companies are already considering the best approach for bringing out the beast within the new Charger. Still, it will be a while until the first aftermarket upgrades hit the World Wide Web, accompanied by their respective starting prices. Meanwhile, we can already see how some modified copies will look courtesy of the rendering crowd, which cannot have enough of this model.

The latest CGIs we came across imagine the new Dodge muscle car with a widebody conversion, a set of aftermarket wheels with a bi-tone look, and a few other bits and bobs. Abimelecdesign has also tried a few different hues for the latest Charger.

The digital illustrations shared above portray it with a gray look and several lively colors, including red, purple, light blue, and satin blue. We don't know about you, but we think the latter proposal is very interesting, especially when combined with a widebody styling. So, which look do you think suits this muscle car best?
